Representatives of the Opole University, medical milieu and local government have visited Minister of Health Konstanty Radziwiłł.  The delegation, led by Prof. Wiesława Piątkowska-Stepaniak, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Administration, included Marcin Miga, Deputy Chancellor, Violetta Porowska, Deputy Voivode, Deputy Marshal of the Opole Voivodeship, Roman Kolek, directors of the Regional Medical Centre: Dariusz Madera and Dr Andrzej Kucharski, and Director of Opole Medical Chamber, Dr Jerzy Jakubiszyn.

The most important issues raised during the meeting concerned the progress of the preparations for the launch of the medical studies at the University of Opole. The Minister was acquainted with a detailed concept of the Collegium Medicum, the visualization of the entire object, individual lecture halls, as well as with the scientific and educational scope of the new study programme. The transformation of the Regional Medical Centre into a university training hospital, which is to take place on 30 July 2017, was also discussed.

Prof. Piątkowska-Stepaniak said that the minister was full of praise for both the state of preparations, as well as for the involvement of so many different milieux.- He congratulated us on the consensus and joint action to improve the state of health care in our voivodeship. - said Prof. Piątkowska-Sepaniak.
