UO at the Senior Fair
University of Opole, along with the Museum of UO, exhibited at the II Senior Fair - Expo OpoleSenior, which took place in the Exhibition and Congress Centre. It turns out that not only young people think about studying. Philosophy can be a good example of a field of studies arousing much interest in the older generation.
Warm words of praise were also said about the University Museum, which is well known among Opole senior citizens. For the last two years the Museum has been visited by over 15 thousand people from all over the world.
The Fair was also visited by Prof. Stanisław S. Nicieja, curator of the University Hill, who presented his Kresowa Atlantyda [Borderland Atlantis]. Prof. Nicieja gave a short speech to the visitors, in which he encouraged them to continuing education and self-development at any age. - Believe me, it lengthens life - he said to the audience. Prof. Nicieja also talked about his fascination with people’s biographies, which made him write the Kresowa Atlantyda series.
