Classes last from 4 to 27 September 2018 and include not only Polish language classes, but also integration and cultural meetings.

The Summer School of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Opole is an annual event organized by the Centre for Eastern Partnership of the University of Opole. This year more than 30 participants came to Opole from various countries - Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, and the United States - to improve their knowledge of the Polish language, as well as to get to know Polish culture, and the Opole region in particular. Apart from everyday language learning, the participants get to know the city and its surroundings. They have already visited the Museum of the University of Opole and the Krasiejów Science and Entertainment Park. There are also many other events on the agenda, such as a visit to the Museum of Opole Silesia, the Zoo, the Museum of Polish Songs or the Gallery of Contemporary Art.

Most of the participants of the summer school after completing it will stay in Opole - in October they start their first year of studies at our university.

The Summer School of Polish Language and Culture aims not only to improve the language skills of future students (during three weeks of classes they complete 85 hours of grammar, reading, writing, conducting dialogues, listening to texts, watching films and other exercises useful for faster and effective learning of the Polish language), but also to give them practical information, useful in the everyday student life.
