Between 8 and 12 April, 2019, the University of Opole hosts the Central European International Week. For the second time, the University of Opole will become a meeting point for prospective collaborators exchanging experiences, discussing good practices, and starting new research contacts.

The official opening will take place on Monday (April 8) at 11 am in the Senate Hall (1st floor, Collegium Maius), where Prof. Janusz Słodczyk, Vice-Rector for Research and Finance, will give his Inaugural address.

The programme of the event is quite comprehensive. On Tuesday, we will have the International conference on Shortage Studies, and on Wednesday, the UO staff members and international guests will have an opportunity to establish new connections and develop cooperation during the Contact Seminar.

As a matter of course, on the days to follow, we invite all to open training sessions and workshops held by UO academic teachers and staff members, who will share their knowledge and expertise in such subject-matters as:

  1. International Credit Mobility – risks and rewards – Halina Palmer-Piestrak, MA

  4. Transnational Entrepreneurship, workshop for academic teachers  – Prof. Robert Geisler
  5. How to combat discrimination in the academic context – Marzanna Pogorzelska, PhD

Friday will be dedicated to the issues of employment. With the Student Career Fair underway, there comes a perfect opportunity for an open discussion panel discussion - Opole Organization Opportunity & Multinational Labour Area will be a round table meeting, closing this year’s International Week.
