We would like to invite students and academics to the seminar 'Evidence-based management: what it is, why we need it and how it looks like in practice'.  The seminar will be hosted by Dr Eric Barends, Director of CEBMa, and Prof Denise Rousseau of Carnegie Mellon University.

The panel discussion will feature Prof Frank Bezzina and Prof Vincent Cassar from the University of Malta. The meetings will be attended by the Vice-Rectors of the University of Opole: Prof. Izabella Pisarek, Prof. Rafał Matwiejczuk, Prof. Jacek Lipok, and the Mayor of Opole, Arkadiusz Wiśniewski, who has taken the event under his patronage.

The presentation for students and academics will take place in the Blue Hall of the Collegium Maius on Monday 17 October 2022 from 10.00 to 11.00; then, after a short break, we invite academics to the Plafond Hall for a workshop showing how EBM elements can be incorporated into student activities.

Monday's meetings with the UO academic community are part of a larger event launching collaboration between the UO and foreign partners in the area of EBM.  On Tuesday, similar meetings for local business representatives will take place at 12 pm.  On Wednesday, in turn, working meetings on the directions and forms of further cooperation are planned.

The event will be held in English.
